This story is still easily the best yugioh fanfic I’ve read that isn’t a horribly done translation of a Chinese fanfic (and unlike those this one actually names the cards right). I’m honestly not sure about the implied inclusion of synchro summoning in the last chapter however, introducing new summoning mechanics is a slippery slope that might end up drawing focus away from lovely (and lady) labrynth. If he really does get in a desperate situation it’ll probably be better to have him do a little ritual, sacrifice a few virgins, sell his firstborn, and pull a Yuma by materializing the toxic eradication epidemic virus control version of the labrynth deck. It wouldn’t be the first time a yugioh character changed a card, changed his deck, or invented a card mid duel (Yuma changing limited barien’s force, the oricacos guy pretending to be Pegasus during his duel with Kai a changing his deck, and the creation of super polymemerization) it might even fit well with the silver eyes thing and Mc giving in to the evil (meta) and embracing the full potential of the labrynth archetype.
