This novel is really interesting and fun. I really hope David and Elena meet first before Melinda and also Elena should show David the note that Melinda gave to her. It's as if someone close to David and Elena family is behind all the this. I just hope the truth comes out on time. Some is trying to manipulate the two family. I won't be surprise if Daniel is the leader of the gang.

I have only just begun reading this book and I must say, I love it already. The first chapter pulled me in, and Alyssa has my heart already. I hope Melinda and Fabian gets hit so hard by karma.

It’s decent enough. Clearly a translation, but there’s enough effort put into actually formatting the structure of the story that it isn’t insufferable. There’s obviously moments where the Chinese influence seeps in, but nothing egregious like the ‘senior brother’ bullshit typically seen with these sorts of stories. Characters don’t feel super out of character but we’ve only seen Nick, Coulson, and Melinda so it’s not enough to make a concrete judgement. I will say that Melinda May acts very much like a stereotypical Chinese hothead like all these stories tend to have. There is an original female character who doesn’t act like this though so I can at least give the writer credit for that. Overall, as of chapter 22 it’s a decent read. Nothing spectacular, but if you don’t wanna read something super heavy it’s good enough to kill time with.
