His Obsession Beneath Hollow Prayers
She kneels for mercy,
He kneels for her ruin.

His lips brushed the sensitive curve of her neck, trailing fire toward her shoulder.
"Option one," he whispered, his voice a jagged edge against her ear. "You stay here, in my bed, for the rest of the weekend. You let me show you every heaven and every hell I have to offer. You forget the church, you forget your mother, and you belong entirely to me."
He paused, shifting his hand to grip her chin, forcing her head to the side so he could see the panic dancing in her eyes.
He leaned in, catching her lip between his teeth in a sharp, punishing nip before soothing it with a languid swipe of his tongue.
"Option two: I call your mother. Right now." The threat was delivered with a terrifying calmness. "I tell her exactly where I found you tonight. I tell her about the green dress, the club."
He leaned in even closer, his breath hot and humid against her ear, sending a shudder through her frame that wasn't entirely unpleasant. "Choose, little bird. Either way, you're mine. One way, you regret the sin. The other, you regret the truth."
He was a predator offering a choice between two different cages, and as his mouth crashed down onto hers in a final, suffocating kiss, she realized the door had already been locked.
