Synopsis of Cipher of the Forgotten
The story builds around Mira Donovan, a brilliant but secluded cryptographer, who has spent years trying to forget about her father, Alexander Donovan. He was a mysterious archaeologist who got lost suddenly fifteen years ago, while pursuing what he claimed was “the discovery of a lifetime.” Mira's carefully planned life came to be known when she receives a mysterious letter written in her father’s handwriting. The letter contains a portion of a cipher and a fearful message: Trust no one. Find the Cipher before it’s too late.
Soon after, Mira is confronted by Ethan Kael, a persistent journalist whose brother Sam, who is also an archaeologist, got lost in the same way. Ethan brings with him another piece of the cipher, and together they discover the pieces form a map which leads to an ancient site in Romania, her father’s last known location. But the riddle is more dangerous than it seems.
As Mira and Ethan go deeper, they met with whispers of "the Cipher," a historical artifact said to contain secrets capable of rewriting history. Along the way, they are hunted by shadowy forces, hired fighters, those who wish to keep the treasure also, and a secret organization determined to keep the Cipher hidden. The two of them must search mysterious signs, perilous traps, and betrayals as they run through Europe to find the artifact.
