There were many famous architects in history. Since the reference materials did not specifically describe the "historical architects" systematically, it was impossible to pinpoint a specific group or person of historical architects. In a broad sense, architects like Gao Jiehua, a professor-level senior architect at the Central South Institute of architectural design (who died on August 13, 2024), who had been in the field for many years, could also be regarded as the representative of architects in a certain period of history. In the course of architectural development, there were outstanding architects in different periods and regions. They created buildings under the technical and cultural conditions of the time. For example, there were architects who built the pyramids of Egypt in ancient times (although many names were not accurately recorded), and there were many architects who designed large-scale public buildings in ancient Rome (such as the Pantheon). Their works and design concepts influenced the development of architecture and were passed down to this day.

Here are some of the local architects: - Carlo Scarpa: Critical Regionalism was proposed and developed by him. His works, such as the Palazzo Marina in Venice and the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary in Treviso, paid attention to the respect and protection of local culture in the design process. At the same time, modern technology was used to realize the functionality and aesthetic value of the buildings. - Alva Aalto: An architect trained in Finland. His works have always been closely related to the actual situation in Finland, exuding a strong local flavor and forming a regional architectural style. - Louis Monford combed through the concept of " Regionalism " and defined the works of some American architects in the West as " Regionalism." - Sigfried Giedion, Walter Gropius, and other former staunch defenders of the modernist front later defected and frequently advocated and practiced the idea of " Regionalism " on international occasions.

If you like romance novels and are interested in the profession of architects, I have a few novels that I can recommend to you. The first was " Our Little World." This novel described the story between a girl who graduated from the architecture department and an elite male protagonist in the financial world. They were forced to get married because of their parents 'arrangements, and finally, after a series of twists and turns, they reunited. The plot is slightly complicated but also a little heartbreaking, which may suit your taste. In addition," My Prince Charming is a Genius Builder " was also a professional romance novel. It told the story of a tenacious architect female lead and a black-bellied and sharp-tongued domineering CEO male lead. These novels all use architects as the background of the male protagonist. I hope you will like it.
