I've gotten to chapter 57, and it has been an amazing story so far. There are no arrogant and needlessly antagonistic characters, no snobs and constant sneers, no face slapping and over-the-top nationalism/racism. It is a warm story about a person deciding that the life they have is not something they can stand any longer, so they go on a journey to see their homeland and discover themselves. If you've seen or read the Golden Boy, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad or Black Lagoon anime/manga, it's that sort of journey of self-discovery vibe, of leaving a life that is caging you and going out into the world to learn and experience. He visits places, reconnects with friends, explores and learns, even the system he has is just supplementary to his journey instead of taking over. The characters feel real, the journey he is on feels real, and even the emotions in the story feel real. I consider this to be an amazing written work and look forward to reading more.
