The Empress only loves the country
In one day, Xie Jinhua became the Empress of the Jing Dynasty who was assassinated and fainted at the Mid-Autumn Festival banquet. After she woke up, the Emperor not only ignored her, but also treated her as a punching bag.
Until she couldn't take it anymore,'Screw the etiquette rules, screw the virtuous empress, I want to be the current Wu Zetian, I only love money and the country.'
......
In the Hall of Diligent Government:
The Ninth Imperial Uncle, who was usually stern and unsmiling, said,"Jin 'er really didn't disappoint."
Xie Jin Hua: What's wrong?"
......
"Hey, hey, hey, you're squashing the memorial I just approved."
"Is the memorial more important than me?"
"Memorials!"
"Is the memorial better looking or am I better looking?"
"You look good, you look good!"
A certain someone immediately went to the table and propped his chin with both hands, staring at her.
"Then look at me, I'm prettier than the memorial."
She reached out and rubbed his head lovingly.
"Stop fooling around, Imperial Uncle!"
The black-bellied little wolfdog turned into a little puppy, and the weak empress turned into the empress dowager who was in charge of a country.

It's overall a great story, especially considering the quality of some other stories. Battle scenes are well written, grammar is very consistent, there are some funny scenes in between, the pokemon have personalities even if not to a detailed degree, the side characters actually seem like people(if you ignore the corrupt ones, which is a lot of them), and I like the type of pokemon he trains. There are some things that just bother me though. The first and most obvious thing is the pacing. I don't mind slow-paced stories, but there's a difference between slow-paced and just dragging it on. Like the part with trying to escape Galar. I feel like he should've just got out as soon as he could, not until after the championship. Starting from Hulberry, he had all the tools he needed. He had the Unown that could teleport him, water type pokemon to travel the sea if he was worried his pokemon might not be able to handle flying so far, a communication device to call for help, and supplies that could've got him through. As for navigating the sea, would a cruise ship really not have any tools for that? And if not, he could've had the Unown mark the ship. They're basically champion level pokemon, so surely they would be capable of doing so? If he didn't want to sea travel all the way like that, he could've used the mark the Unown left to track the ship or gotten the coordinate of a ship that would wait for him in advance at the edge of Galar territory after an arrangement with Prof. Rowan. Things did turn out better because of his decision to wait until the championship cup finished, but it was really dragging on for me. Another thing that bothers me is the consistency of things. Not for anything major, but things like type immunities not working(that explosion from a turtonator should NOT have worked on haunter). Last thing should be about the MC himself. He's portrayed as a cold, calculating guy, but his brain is not calculating sometimes. When thinking about how to reach champion level, his thought is to ask Prof. Oak. There's nothing wrong with that since Oak was a champion, but he never thought to ask the Unown? The Unown that are older than dust and knowledgeable too? He could've at least asked them, damn it. Then there was the thing with his brainwashed rhyperior. He wanted to get rid of the brainwashing because if rhyperior stayed brainwashed, it's strength would never increase. His first and only thought at the time was to ask either Prof. Rowan or Oak. He had Mesprit with him at the time. MESPRIT, the PSYCHIC type MYTHICAL pokemon of EMOTIONS. And he didn't even ASK!???!?? He later on did, but why is his first thought to ask a professor, and only later on remember Mesprit was a powerful psychic type???? I need a break. I'll come back to the story once I've calmed down....Maybe. Only thing I have left to say is, if small details like these bother you, just don't read. If it doesn't, great! You should definitely give it a try! Even if it is too slow-paced for some people, I won't deny that it's excellent
