louisiana longshot

This isn't a masterpiece or an exemplary work of literature by a longshot. But it does what it's supposed to - it entertains people.

okay so this is my first time writing a review. I wasnt expecting much from this cause its a fanfic but holy shìt its amazing. I really hope you dont drop it and Id also appreciate if you made the chapters a bit longer and please refrain from adding more filler content I get that you dont want your readers to be confused but you dont need to explain every single thing. all in all it passes my expectations by a longshot so please keep it up.

Wow, this is my favorite novel of all time already. Just from these first three chapters alone it is inherently clear that the author has spent thousands upon thousands of hours world building the universe for this novel. Also, the rapid pace of updates makes it indubitably clear that they are taking this novel very serious. I can't recommend it enough. The start was strong but it will only get better as the author and the story mature. Like a fine wine. Or my 15 year old stepsister who is rapidly approaching the age of consent in the state of Louisiana. Thank you Dad.

This is a review of the first two chapters. The story is a well written tale about teenage witch Josie who has just moved to her Mother’s home town. Both the main character and secondary characters are well described through third party commentary, differences in dialogue word choice, and the author’s own description. For example, Josie who was a nomad and her cousin Nat who grew up in southern Louisiana do not use the same colloquiums. The setting is also given the same attention to detail. Josie’s rental house is not just a one story house but is a white house placed on stilts to avoid flooding; details like this make the house unique to the story setting. The plot has not advanced much, but I believe the author has something exciting in store.

This novel is very strange, I've read a lot on this site and I can't understand how the translator could've made it this bad. It seems like it wants to be good, but the way the writing is done makes it seem like a word salad that makes zero sense. Reading this is like after each chapter you have to put together a puzzle of nonsensical words to try and attempt to make out what's actually happening. It's extremely exhausting to read, I wouldn't recommend it at all. The only way I'd recommend it is if your high. For the story itself, while the MC exists; he's basically nonexistent in terms of character. I think this is the translators fault because most other characters are shallow and very bland, and the storyline itself is very boring. There's other new HxH fanfics coming out that are much easier on your brain, and beats this in quality by a longshot.
