fun book. Not really why I wanted to write a review. Never have I felt so old as when I read the little [1] authors note on what a pager is.

I just finished Chapter 1 of Value Loyalty Above All Else what a raw, gripping opening. Morgan comes to in total darkness, wrists bound, his throat dry, and there’s nothing around but muffled voices. One rough guard silences his cough and knocks him out again. When he wakes up, a softer voice whispers that he’s on a shuttle but then another voice warns them not to speak, and he’s knocked out again. Finally, between headaches and delirium, he hears: “ETA to spaceport 6A in five minutes.” When he asks where they’re going, the answer comes cold and clear: Korriban. That reveal “you’re going to as close to hell as you’ll ever get” hits like a punch. Imagine it as a comic two‑pager: First page drenched in shadows close‑ups on Morgan’s bound wrists, his panicked eyes, and the muzzle's dim glow of the shuttle corridor. Every panel oozes disorientation and fear. Second page tight on his face as consciousness slips in and out, voices overlapping in ominous whispers. Then the word “Korriban” lands like a gut‑punch maybe in bold, drifting across the panel as darkness closes in again. I’m a commissioned comic artist and would love to bring that intense, claustrophobic energy to life if that’s a vibe you’d be into. No pressure at all I just see so much cinematic potential.
