Boros awakens with no memory of who he is, carrying a forbidden anomaly: the Ice Longinus, a power tied to destruction and a past the world has tried to bury. Its emergence is violent and unstable, marking him as something that should not exist.
Before seeking power, Boros encounters Akeno—a girl who becomes both a witness to his instability and a reason for him to keep moving forward.
Their journey begins in uncertainty, but when Akeno is nearly killed in a brutal encounter, it forces Boros to confront the reality of his weakness and the danger surrounding them.
Determined to grow stronger, Boros enters the Guild Trials, an unforgiving selection process designed to shape warriors and eliminate the unfit.
What begins as a test of strength quickly reveals corruption beneath the surface. During the evaluation, Boros exposes a manipulated result and is forced to retake the test under direct supervision—only to shatter the limits of the trial and draw the attention of those in power.
