Hubby's Deep Love Will Never Change
When he and his rumored girlfriend were spotted shopping in Paris, she smiled, "Well, my husband's taste isn't bad this time!"
When he goes out to have dinner with the mayor's daughter, she remarks with a radiant face, "This tie suits you better."
When he is about to get engaged with a merchant's daughter, she chooses to leave, "Dear, have a successful trip. I will have a surprise waiting for you when you return!"
A few days later, the man approached her with a dangerous aura, "So the divorce was your surprise gift to me?"
"Yes! What a great gift! Don't you like it, Mr. Gu?" What more could a husband like him want from a wise and understanding wife like her?
Unknowingly, she stole his heart. Though she left, she never returned his heart.
He said that letting her leave was the biggest mistake he ever made.
He had spoiled her for four years, and from now on, he would spoil her for the rest of his life.
[Glorious husband + sly Da Bao + adorable Little Treasure, why would you refuse this marriage? The warm-hearted husband never changes his deep love. This is a story of immense pampering and minor hardships with a happy ending, welcome to dive in!]

This is very much a coming of age story. Fantastical elements take a backseat to the story of Trent, a freshman in highschool at 15, who is desperate to learn more about the father who died before he was born and learn his place in this world. Scifi elements do exist and occur, but they're often cutaway events that quickly return to the school life drama unfolding among Trent and his friends. As the story continues, those fantastical elements do slowly encroach more and more onto Trent's life, but the operative word here is 'slowly'. By chapter 20 there may be a significant shift away from this, but the first dozen chapters are densely packed with Trent's life both at school and at home. Characterization comes first here, and before any of the action, the author makes sure you'll care about the characters involved in that action. If you're looking for an urban fantasy/scifi with a deliberate pace and a focus on characterization first, it's worth keeping an eye on this story and seeing if you find yourself drawn into Trent's story.
