Hi there, I just came across The Great Universal War (Fanmade Season 2 of Murder Drones), and this story immediately caught my attention. I love how it opens with such a warm, cozy hook before the chaos kicks in, N sneaking into Uzi's room for morning hugs and getting caught by Khan, only for the whole outpost to be thrown into alert mode over a mysterious crash landing and a desperate distress call from a UFF captain fighting for her life. That mix of found family comfort and looming galactic war sets up such a fun, high stakes world. The contrast between the found family, slice of life warmth among the outpost crew and the brutal sci fi war unfolding around them gives the story a lot of visual potential. I'd love to create a character illustration or cinematic scene capturing N carrying a sleeping Uzi on his back through the crowded halls of Outpost 3, V and Uzi soaring through the sky side by side with their wings out as they scout the UFF crash site, or the tense standoff between the WDF and UFF forces with weapons raised in the ruins of the crash zone. There's a great mix of found family fluff, sci fi military conflict, and mysterious hooded drone allies to draw from. I do manga style commission art, and stories with found family dynamics, sci fi factions clashing, and expressive character casts are exactly the kind of stories I love bringing to life through illustration.
