While the book seemed fine at the start, the night furies really didn't add anything to the story. It made it seem like they were helpful, but really? not really. Then the fact in 40 years the MC didn't have anymore children seemed like a waste. then the huge plot hole with hong Kong and the order of movies. or the fact there wasn't the artificial dome built on skull island. The story just seems like a haphazard third person view of a different version of the movies.

As a kid back in 6th grade loved to learn about dinosaurs, this has greatly let me down. The writing is brain dead, the mc is brain dead, and the strong dislike of countries also is brain dead. I had my hopes up thinking it was going to be a smart mc slowly evolving and fighting against the futuristic human race. But it surprised me in a bad way.
