She had to use her smartphone to hunt down the nightmare elves and dark forces that threatened her hometown and humans. The game used a mix of improved mechanisms and new battle-oriented mechanisms from the previous game. There was a DreadOut-style smartphone ghost-hunting gameplay, which could use the camera to hunt ghosts or use melee weapons and projectiles to deal with tangible ghosts. There was also a new battle-oriented mechanism to explore the supernatural realm, which required courage when fighting hostile ghosts in the supernatural realm. The game has a non-linear survival horror element. Players can explore Linda's hometown and other places, talk to residents (both living and dead), complete side quests to learn more about the game's legends, and interact with various unique NPCs (humans and ghosts).
