The application scenarios of the Internet of Things are very wide and cover many fields. The following are some common application scenarios: 1. ** Industry ** - Intelligent manufacturing: Digitize and intelligent transformation of all aspects of the production process to achieve full process monitoring and control. - ** Intelligent Inspection and Repair **: Real-time monitoring and regular inspection of the operating conditions of the equipment to achieve predictable maintenance. The operating conditions of the equipment are monitored by sensors, and faults are detected in advance and reported to the police. Repair personnel are dispatched in time to avoid production losses. - ** Intelligent dispatching **: Comprehensively monitor and control the entire production process of the enterprise, discover production problems in time, dispatch and optimize them, and improve production efficiency and flexibility. - ** Intelligent Storage **: Real-time monitoring and control of the warehouse. The number and location of goods are monitored through sensors to prevent loss and damage of goods. The intelligent sorting system is used to automatically sort and store goods to improve the operational efficiency of the warehouse. - ** Intelligent Logistics **: Fully digitize and intelligent monitoring of the logistics process, monitor and control logistics vehicles, improve logistics efficiency and safety, and achieve logistics automaton and optimization through intelligent dispatching systems to improve flexibility and reliability. - ** Industrial monitoring **: By connecting to the data of equipment such as Plcs, instruments, industrial robots, and numerical control machine tools, it can monitor the status of the production line, the performance of the equipment, and the production efficiency in real time. Through continuous analysis, the production process can be optimized to help identify production defects, reduce waste, and improve overall production efficiency. - ** asset tracking **: It is mainly used to monitor and manage fixed and mobile equipment assets in real time. Enterprise can know the location, status, and performance of assets in real time, so as to effectively manage equipment, improve asset utilization, prevent theft and loss, and improve asset maintenance plans, providing reliable data guidance for after-sales operation and maintenance work. - ** Energy-saving optimization **: Realization of automatic measurement and energy-saving management of various energy sources. 2. ** Smart home field **: Using various technologies and devices to improve people's lifestyle and make the home more comfortable, safe, and efficient. It could monitor the position, status, and changes of household products, analyze their changing characteristics, and at the same time, provide feedback to a certain extent according to people's needs. Its development was mainly divided into three stages: single product connection, object interaction, and platform integration. 3. ** Intelligent Transportation **: It is considered one of the most promising applications of the Internet of Things. 4. ** Intelligent security field **: It is a big application market for the Internet of Things. Traditional security relies heavily on personnel and is very labour-intensive, while intelligent security can achieve intelligent judgment through equipment. The access control system was mainly based on sensor card, fingerprint, iris, and facial recognition. It was safe, convenient, and efficient. It could link video capture, remote door opening, mobile phone location detection, and trajectory analysis. The monitoring system mainly focused on video and was divided into the police and civilian markets. Through real-time video monitoring, the camera was used to capture records, and the video and pictures were stored and analyzed for real-time monitoring to ensure safety. The alarm system mainly used the alarm host to alarm. At the same time, some R & D manufacturers would place the voice module and network control module in the alarm host to shorten the alarm response time. 5. ** Service Area ** - ** Smart after-sales service **: Real-time monitoring and predictable maintenance of equipment, thereby reducing the time and cost of after-sales service and improving the quality and satisfaction of after-sales service. - ** Intelligent Customer Service **: The intelligent customer service system can automatically handle customer problems, improve customer service experience and response speed, and achieve comprehensive service and support for customers, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. - ** Smart Market **: Through a comprehensive understanding and analysis of market demand, it helps enterprises formulate the best marketing strategy and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing. 6. ** Other fields **: It also includes environmental protection, government work, public safety, safe home, intelligent fire protection, elderly care, personal health, flower cultivation, water system monitoring, food tracing, enemy detection, and intelligence gathering. In terms of wireless transmission of the Internet of Things, long-distance wireless transmission technologies such as GPS, NB-IOT, Sigfox, Lora, etc. can be applied to scenarios such as code scanning, card swiping, smart electricity meters, smart logistics, and remote device data collection. In addition, the emergence of the new eSIM standard (GSIM SMP.31/32) has expanded the application scenarios of Internet of Things devices in remote configuration, operator selection, and device management. For example, ST's ST4SIM-300M is designed for Internet of Things and industrial applications, with remote configuration capabilities.
