Aunque el desarrollo del protagonista es impecable, el resto del elenco principal, como Brenn y Borin, a veces se sienten un poco como "tipos" más que como individuos complejos. Sugiero al autor que se tome más tiempo para explorar las motivaciones de estos personajes secundarios, dándoles conflictos personales que no estén directamente ligados a Kaelan. Por ejemplo, ¿cuál es el miedo más grande de Borin? ¿Qué le debe Brenn a Eldrin?
