You Were Never in My Mission Brief
A rainy night in Chengdu brings together two completely different people — Liang Hanzhi, a cold and disciplined elite fighter pilot, and Lin Meixi, a cheerful university girl from a wealthy family. What begins as a brief encounter beneath an airshow display slowly becomes a love story neither of them expected.
Years later, Hanzhi becomes the commander of the elite Hangar Nine squadron, living in a world filled with dangerous missions, political tension, and constant sacrifice. Meanwhile, Meixi struggles to find her own purpose beyond wealth and public expectations. Despite their opposite worlds, they gradually fall deeply in love.
As military conflicts escalate and missions grow increasingly dangerous, Hanzhi and his team are pushed toward the edge of war while Meixi learns the painful reality of loving someone who may never return home. Through fear, separation, sleepless nights, and emotional battles, Meixi transforms into the emotional pillar of military families through her Foundation of Wings organization.
Together, Hanzhi and Meixi endure near-fatal missions, sabotage conspiracies, political crises, emotional breakdowns, painful separation, and the terrifying reality that a single phone call could change their lives forever.
Yet through every storm, blackout, and dangerous mission, one truth remains unchanged:
No matter how far he flies, someone is always waiting for him to come home.
