making an example out of them

Here is an English composition about making a remedy: **Title: Making Up for a Mistake** In our daily lives, we all make mistakes from time to time. However, what really matters is how we make a remedy for those mistakes. I will share a story about my own experience of making up for a wrong deed. Once, I borrowed a very precious book from my best friend. It was a limited - edition book about her favorite author, and she cherished it a great deal. I promised her that I would take good care of it. But unfortunately, when I was reading it at a coffee shop, I accidentally spilled my coffee on the book. Some pages got stained and wrinkled. I was extremely worried and felt very guilty at that moment. As soon as I got home, I immediately thought about how to make it up to her. First of all, I tried my best to dry the book carefully with a towel and placed it between two heavy books to flatten the wrinkled pages as much as possible. Then, I searched everywhere on the Internet for the same book, but it was really difficult to find since it was a limited - edition one. However, I didn't give up. I finally found a second - hand bookstore in another city that had a copy in relatively good condition. I ordered it without hesitation. When the new book arrived, I wrapped it beautifully and wrote a sincere apology letter. In the letter, I explained what had happened in detail and how sorry I was for my carelessness. I also told her how much I valued our friendship and that I hoped she could forgive me. The next day, I went to her house and gave her the new book and the letter. At first, she was a little shocked to see the new book, but after reading the letter, she hugged me and said she forgave me. She said she was more touched by my efforts to make up for the mistake than by the loss of the old book. From this experience, I learned that when we make mistakes, we should take positive actions to make a remedy. It not only can fix the problem itself but also can strengthen the relationship between people. Read more exciting novels for free
