visit to red moon

An asteroid named 2024NT5 was captured by Earth's gravity on September 29, 2024, and became a "mini moon." It would orbit the Earth until November 25, and then return to its original asteroid belt. The asteroid was about 11 meters in diameter and came from the Azhouna-type asteroid belt. Its orbit was similar to Earth's, with an average distance of about 150 million kilometers from the Sun. Celestial bodies that could become mini moons usually approached Earth at a close distance of about 4.5 million kilometers and flew at a speed of about 3540 kilometers per hour. Some celestial bodies in the Arjuna asteroid belt met this condition and were temporarily captured by Earth's gravity. However, because it was small and very dim, most astronomical observers could not see it during its flight around the Earth.

The caricature about the visit to the moon could be quite imaginative and humorous, depicting various funny or fantastical scenarios related to the lunar journey.

Erhai Moon Palace is currently not open to the public and cannot be visited.
