I have read two other novels by Ding Mo, and once again she doesn't dissapoint! This novel is different as it is a business thriller, where as the other two were crime thrillers. Honestly I was a bit more invested in the crime thrillers, maybe because the stakes were higher there. However, her wrtiting is on point and she has a very beautiful way of expressing emotions that make you understand the depth of a characters feelings! I read it when it was almost completely translated, so it was a great quick read for me! Definitely recommend this! 😍

I don't usually read thrillers and crime stories much but I can tell from the first chapter that this one is one of the better ones out there. The mystery and the tense atmosphere brought by the murder case and the interactions between the characters make the scene flow smoothly without giving out clues more than necessary.
