A short story with stupid bets like if I lose I’ll stop playing chess and getting jealous over better chess players. Somehow the wins all come from queens getting trapped. I thought the wins would be from winning a minor piece or something. When playing against the grandmasters the reason for winning was playing good moves whilst the grandmaster played bad moves. But I find that somewhat hard to believe. Although I don’t really like the story and its realism I have to admit that at least this one isn’t like other stories where the mc can calculate every possibility or something. So I’m certain this is the best chess novel on the site at the point I’m making this review. Keep it up
