Throughout the Ming Kingdom, Jun Hua was famous for being a useless girl without any talent worthy of praise. I like the apocalypse story, feel meh to the cultivation story, and actively dislike (maybe even hate) the “ancient battlefield” story. The pets are edging on cute, but cutting out the ancient battlefield (aside from memory reveals) is worth it. Not sure why the gate to ancient battlefield bothers me, but I really really really don’t like it. Maybe it’s too much destiny rather than a family preparing for the end of humanity. Maybe it’s the writing tone. I guess the author has a plan that needs the ancient battlefield, but I hate tying it to the present. I absolutely love the idea of a crafted spiritual space for a clan’s descendants! Strongly dislike the idea of a gate to the shared space of the ancient battlefield. The presence of the ancient battlefield as anything but a historical story immediately makes me want to drop the series. Sorry I feel that way as it feels like that’s the basis of the series.
