Well translated novel with an interesting time period and concept. It doesn’t have the shounen action that some historical novels have, but instead portrays a more mundane, day to day life. The storyline is decently unique. There are very few grammar errors. The mix of magic and steampunk settings are just the right mix with nothing over the top. as to the complaints about historical accuracy, keep in mind this is FICTION. as to the complaints about victorian era accuracy, victorian era styes were not limited to just england (france and england during victorian era had very similar architecture and social structures) Before you complain or disagree, do more than a 2 minute research into victorian era, architecture, and social structures. and leave the comments on accuracy to those of us who are considered experts is architecture, social structures, and historical facts of the victorian era. - it saves a lot of time and makes things more enjoyable for everyone.
