I am gonna give 5 stars just because I want to. Anyway. 1)First of all the things you need to improve is that you can't make the chapters this short. Your word count doesn't need to be 1k or 2k. 500-600 is alright 2) Instead of writing everything in a paragraph write like this "I think I am gonna go there first" Alex said After going there be found----- "I knew I should have come here first" writing like this is better 3) There needs to be other characters and dialogues need to happen between characters. Monologues ain't always good. The way you're writing right now it feels more like a short note or diary of someone instead of writing a story 4) My advice is that you should write short stories. Preferably ones with 10-15 chapters and preferably make sure that it's at least 700-800 words per chapter. That should help you. Since you're writing a short story you don't need to always plan everything to the details. Just write a draft and write around it. No need to explain everything. Just like now. You don't need to change your writing style or anything if you do write a short story but make sure there are at least some conversation and things like that. If you need help in planning you can always talk to me here
