I was just reading this because it has genderswap in it, but that's not the focus of this story. Every arc feels episodic, you can start from any arc and you'll quickly catch up because every arc is not tightly connected. I never knew that I wanted an episodic fic until now.

It's a nice to read novel. The perspective of the MC is different from what you'd expect from a classic horror/thriller as well which makes it refreshing to read(the other outcome -if done badly- would be silly but thankfully that's not the case). Story wise the episodic part of it is done well keeping things fresh. The overarching storyline links everything together quite well and keeps things moving in a interesting direction and ensures that things don't feel disjointed because of the episodic nature of the novel. The only issue is that the translation is dead right now which is a real pitty.
