I like slow-paced stories. Elixir Supplier is very much that. After a hundred chapters, I could still read a hundred more. But the story is like flat soda; it's drinkable but you keep missing the fizz. The refusal to differentiate between system dialogue and normal paragraphs aside, the conflict in the story is lacking; so much that the chapters are repetitive. The MC is passive. Being slightly detached from society myself, the distance between him and others is familiar and logical - to me at least. But the issue is that seemingly the only worthwhile conflict in the story is him dodging his mother's and sister's nagging. There's no pop, there's no thrill, there's no fizz. I'd like to read at least some interpersonal conflict with others and not this wash of sameness that has no end in sight. Familiarity only gets you so far. I read for the thrills. Another thing; he's a farmer, damn it. Where is the man vs environment conflict? There was a rainy chapter but it didn't affect his farm at all; in fact he watered the plants more during the rain! If you like slow and light stories with little conflict, this is the story for you, if you can get over the translator quirks. Otherwise, don't bother.
