Warning: It was my first book, so the first volume is going to be a bumpy ride. Things start to change at the end of the second volume, so if you can hang in there till then, welcome. This is overrated. I know the author is trying to explore a unique angle, with Dudley being the lead and ****, but Dudley feels like a crack head instead of a cool hero. Too many chapters that irrelevant and boring, things about the non-magical aspect, like Dudley’s school life. I don’t know if it’s just me but I don’t find Dudley trying to be as fat as he can without spoiling his health attractive. It’s plain weird. There are some interesting ideas like Dudley forcing Harry to do exercise in the name of Harry Hunting, but the execution is not as good as I would have hope. Some of you guys might like unique stuff so give it a try (too unique for my taste, bye).
