Hi! I just came across The Villainess They Took For Granted and I got hooked right away. Marian's absolute confidence in the opening chapter, knowing she's a transmigrator into a story where the original villainess never stood a chance because Marian actually spent eighteen years building a real relationship with Adrian, gave the story such a fun twist on the usual "doomed villainess" trope. That flicker of doubt when Adrian's attention drifts toward Elena Hart at the banquet, and Marian brushing it off with pure confidence even as the narrative hints fate is finally making its move, was such a great way to plant tension under all that surface-level security. The family dynamic with her father, Duke Theodore, added such a warm, playful contrast to the political stakes riding on her marriage. I do manga-style commission art, and stories with this much confident, self-aware heroine energy up against creeping doubt are exactly what I love drawing. I'd love to create art of Marian smiling triumphantly at the banquet with Adrian's arm around her while Elena stands unaware across the room, or that quiet morning scene of her bantering with her father over breakfast in the sunlit dining room.
