Great overall, I like that the story takes place at a earlier time then the original Harry Potter. Also the author expands the the HP universe using new spells, artifacts, and additional situations that were briefly mentioned in the books. However, there is no long term goal, at least as of chapter 60. A couple of short term goals are there along with vague goals like the MC getting as strong as possible but without a clear long term one it feels less cohesive.
