to be honest, I haven't seen many HTTYD fics, and the ones I have seen are part of some kinda multiverse fic and stay in the world for only a couple chapters,or a fic that was dropped or on hiatus, or the MC is trying to do their own hiccup arc and is some Soy boy in the beginning.

First off i would like to point out that english is not my native language so forgive me if i spell or write something wrong. Having said that, i have not seen any grammar or spelling mistake so far in the ff, the mc is kinda ok but ultimately very bland due to the fact that we know nothing about him other than him being a reincarnator. He was never really described and the only thing we know about his personality is what we can infer from his actions. Another thing that really bothers me (and really my main problem with this fanfic) is that it is just a recapitulation of the movie, nothing changes except for hiccups gender, the mc doesnt interact with anyone other than hiccup, nobody seems to ever talk about or to him and he just kind of tags along to whatever hiccup does, i would also like to point out that some interactions that he has with hiccup are straight out just things hiccup did with astrid in the movie (ex: the part where they ride together for the first time). Sorry for the long rant but i was kinda dissapointed that the first fanfic i found of httyd ended up being just a rewrite of the original.

If you are seriously interested in reading this fanfic, here are some things I recommend. SPOILERS!!! Duhh?? Read Carefully, the writing quality isn't the best, and it can get quite confusing if you are skimming through the chapters. You may be confused as to who the 'Main Character' is due to my previous point (It is Hiccup / Charcoal [Name changes later on]) The story development is good. However, you may find yourself frustrated with the MC as he tends to a very obvious thing (You will understand later) Stick with the novel, and don't be afraid to reread chapters as you may get confused. May only be 34 chapters, but they are quite long. Idea: 5/5 Writing Execution: 2/5 Extra world building on top of httyd verse 5/5 Update stability: ?/5 (was completed when I read it) Side characters: 3/5 (made the vikings look really bad and Stoick was butchered) Overall: It's not bad. I would recommend HTTYD fans to give it a go, but it won't be winning any awards.
