The story started interesting but now the MC is just brainwashing or planning to brainwash anyone important with a personality. Even potential allies who have nothing against him. Not sure I’ll keep reading if it keeps going in this direction. Even bad guys can have a friend or family, and this guy wanted to be neutral. Its too bad because I genuinely find his interactions with the hero and his plotting interesting. I’m sure it’ll get boring if his only option every time is to kill the hero. Maybe converting then to his side as an alternative could be an option in the future. Knowing this MC so far though, he would only brainwash the female protagonists. Good luck with your story. Hopefully if I continue reading it the character interactions wont be as predictable as they seem to be so far; all ending in brainwashing.
