In a capstone scary story, there was a forest that was said to be cursed. A hiker got lost in it. As night fell, he noticed that the trees seemed to be closing in on him. He heard the howl of a wolf that sounded like it was right behind him, but when he turned around, there was nothing there. Then, he saw pairs of red eyes staring at him from the darkness.

The scariest stories could be those involving haunted houses. For example, a story where a family moves into an old mansion and strange noises start at night. Creaking floors and cold spots that can't be explained are really terrifying.

One story from my capstone scary stories could be about a haunted house. There was an old, dilapidated mansion on the outskirts of town. People who passed by at night often heard strange wailing sounds coming from it. Legend had it that a family was brutally murdered there decades ago, and their spirits still lingered, seeking revenge. Those brave enough to peek through the dusty windows sometimes claimed to see shadowy figures moving around inside.
