So I didn’t really like this novel. It’s really well written and based on the categories for rating I can’t go below a 4/5. That said the reason I didn’t like it is because this story seems to be written by someone who is peripherally aware of the plot of the god of war games and has only ever watched the movie version of Percy Jackson... yeah. The riordanverse is rich and colorful and so well fleshed out that everything meshes well. The Percy Jackson movies are crap that take the bad parts of the books and leave out the good while magically aging everyone up by four years which in itself ruins the last half of the first Percy Jackson series. This fanfiction in particular is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who has not read any of the Percy Jackson books or played the god of war games. If that is the case try it out you might find it fascinating.
