Comprehensible writing and author go together like oil and water. Yes, the novel is very entertaining, but the writing quality is so bad that it takes you out of it, where you go “wait a minute, what happened to (x) plot point?” because, instead of finishing up the previous plot point or story element or even arc, author introduces a new one. The best analogy would be the meme of Andy from Toy Story throwing away Woody with the phrase “I don’t want to play with you anymore”, expect applied to essentially every plot element introduced. Characters are extremely shallow with essentially no thinking capability, and the action is few and far between. Overall, only read if you just want entertainment, and nothing more of substance.
