I want to like it cause there are precious few star wars fanfics that aren't utter garbage but it's basically just the phantom menace with extremely minor internal character differences that aren't reflected by reality. I feel like I could tell you 99% of the story just by watching the original movie. He's also bending over backward to preserve Canon. Like he's doing his best to act like OG Anakin and I'm not into that at all. So while you're writing is acceptable and I like the idea of an Anakin self insert, there's just no way for me to enjoy this. If this is your first story its an excellent attempt I think you just need to avoid the pitfall of just rewriting Canon star wars.
