The anime has too many time skips. You can make it more interesting if you separate the MC from Kirito. It's also better if you can make some changes to the plot, changing the future outcome of the story. Make it better by writing scenes without Kirito. Prevent copying the anime time skips, you can make it that before another time skip happens in the anime, the mc has to do something either exploring the floors,grinding levels, encountering unique monsters like the one from underground floor; The one with the scythe. You can also make some OCs. Have the MC make a guild with OCs. You can also save the girl from the movie Ordinal Scale if you want to prevent Ordinal Scale from happening.
