I really love this new story and I really, really, really hope it is picked to be continued. I was just thinking the other day that there really weren't tons of thief/con man stories on this site and some of the ones that were here were VRMMO stories where there were very little actual stealing/heists and more traditional fighting against monsters. However, just as I was getting frustrated, low and behold Webnovel actually adds a potential thief novel! I love movies like Ocean's 11 and the Sting, and this scratches that heist itch. For those who can't get behind rooting for a thief/criminal or find the schemes of those heist movies a little too unbelievable, don't worry. This novel does not have those problems. First, the heist depicted in this story is actually a drill to test out the preparedness of the police officers and the bank security. The main character is simply pretending to be a robber. As such, no one is actually hurt or harmed during this process. Second, the main character takes a very realistic approach for his heist. Rather than walking in with nothing but a suit like some heist movies might do, he walks into the bank with a mask as well as fake guns and grenades to simulate what a real bank robber would do. It feels realistic. However, it is not boring either. The various schemes, strategies, and precautions he uses against the authorities really make it feel like there is a complex scheme in play like any of the heist movies. Even now when the heist is reaching its final stages in chapter 20, I still don't know how he will get away. While many stories are by the numbers on this site and you can easily predict how confrontations will end, a story that can surprise you to the very last moments is a precious treasure. As a final bonus, the story takes place in the United States, so as an American reader, I can more easily connect to the characters and the story. There is one tiny slip up at one point where they use the measurement "catties" instead of pounds, but other than that it is easy to get immersed in the story. In conclusion, read this novel if you like fun heist stories that surprise you. You will not have to worry that this story will be too unrealistic or the character is hard to root for.
