I don't know if the summary description has already been corrected but, think of this novel as Pokemon with a System. MC suddenly woke up on a slightly different parallel reality when Pokemon like creatures called sprites exist. They are basically the same as Pokemon and NC got a system wich helps him with the training and raising of his sprites. There's not really much to add.
