Reminiscent of deep baked video game lore, and perhaps a close resemblance to Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road”, your writing style is rather interesting and easy to follow. The uncommon choice in protagonist for the story is also an interesting direction, one that I believe holds a lot of merit and intrigue. While I wouldn’t quite compare it to the excellent world building of overlord, it does have its own unique style.

I love Forsaken a LOT, and the fact that it's gotten a webnovel actually made me (and my friends) jump out of my seat. I've read loads of fanfics and Forsaken stories on Wattpad, but never have I ever actually read a Roblox fanfic of this quality. Already in Chapter 1, the book pays close attention to the original source material (likely because an actual Forsaken Dev wrote this) and integrates a lot of the ARG and side stories. The novel does a pretty good job at setting up the plot (I have a theory that it was The Spectre's puppets who sent Elliot into Damnation, but this likely isn't true considering they talked about finding someone "connected," which I'm pretty sure will be elaborated upon in the later chapters). I also love how the dialogue is handled. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just very real. Like, Person A can say X, and, surprised, Person B can ask X for confirmation. I'd describe the dialogue to be something along the lines of Cormac McCarthy. The dialogue is just realistic in a way. And that's not to mention the The Last Guest easter eggs (which I hope the book continues doing).

Definitely one of, if not the best novels I’ve ever read. A majority of the main cast is interesting, with few exceptions (*cough* Kai *cough*). The lore behind the dream realm is also really interesting. MC is OP but often faces enemies out of his league so his victories don’t feel unearned. The power system is great. Although the scaling can be a bit wacky(Morgan fight, Tyris Vs Cormac). There hasn’t been any genre-defining moments so far. So I’d say it’s similar to Tbate with a better setting and faster uploads If the writing quality remains consistent throughout the remaining thousands of chapters, it will be deserving of 5 stars.
