Synopsis

The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor. At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. "Landlord, is this what you meant by 'the house can be a little crowded at night'‽"

Hayle Coven Novels

I’m an international, multiple award-winning author with a passion for the voices in my head. As a singer, songwriter, independent filmmaker and improv teacher and performer, my life has always been about creating and sharing what I create with others. Now that my dream to write for a living is a reality, with over a hundred titles in happy publication and no end in sight, I live in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada, with my giant cats, pug overlord and overlady and my Gypsy Vanner gelding, Fynn. ***WORLD'S BEST STORY2014*** Her mom's a witch. Her dad's a demon. And she just wants to be ordinary. I batted at the curl of smoke drifting off the tip of my candle and tried not to sneeze. My heavy velvet cloak fell in oppressive, suffocating folds in the closed space of the ceremony chamber, the cowl trapping the annoying bits of puff I missed. I hated the way my eyes burned and teared, an almost constant distraction. Not that I didn't welcome the distraction, to be honest. Anything to take my mind from what went on around me. Being part of a demon raising is way less exciting than it sounds. Sydlynn Hayle's teen life couldn't be more complicated. Trying to please her coven is all a fantasy while the adventure of starting over in a new town and fending off a bully cheerleader who hates her are just the beginning of her troubles. What to do when delicious football hero Brad Peters--boyfriend of her cheer nemesis--shows interest? If only the darkly yummy witch, Quaid Moromond, didn't make it so difficult for her to focus on fitting in with the normal kids despite her paranormal, witchcraft laced home life. Add to that her crazy grandmother's constant escapes driving her family to the brink and Syd's between a rock and a coven site. Forced to take on power she doesn't want to protect a coven who blames her for everything, only she can save her family's magic. If her family's distrust doesn't destroy her first.

Read at your own discretion. if you like cheesy novels and bad dramas this novel is not for you, it will ruin your taste in novels as you read this masterpiece, no novel will be good enough after this. as i reached the latest chapter posted i franticly searched for a novel to fill the void hundreds of them while i wait for more updates but to no avail all of the novels seemed in bad taste and cheesy after this. the author is a genius when it comes to humanizing the characters , you can really feel the connection to the characters and MC unlike most novels where the MC feels like a robot. world build is perfect to the point you can have a mental map of the zones and the world in general. the fights are described well to the point you can imagine the whole fights as you read them all, after you read the fight scenes all other novel fights will look cheesy in comparison. story development is a little slow but i think its for the better as it gives it more depth , even if you read a chapter that you think if a story filler later you will find that its connected and meaningful nothing is wasted. the MC is human like i said funny and smart but still makes human mistakes not everything comes natural to him and he really have to try to get good at something sometimes he fails sometimes he succeeds . the story have a horror element to it , i personally don't like horror novels but the author gives you just the right amount of horror to keep you engaged perfectly balanced, i personally would like if the author gives us a real horror show in a chapter or two just to show us his limits and how far he can take it . in general this novel deserves to be the best of the best and you will be missing big time if you skip this.

Some cheesy horror novels often rely on the trope of the 'evil entity'. This could be a demonic presence or a malevolent spirit that haunts the characters. There's also the idea of a hidden diary or manuscript that reveals the dark secrets of the horror, which the characters stumble upon. And then there's the last - minute save or escape that seems a bit too convenient, like the hero finding a secret passage just as the monster is about to get them.
