7 out of the current 22 chapters in, and this is as close of a 1 to 1 adaptation from sinbad to shadow slave as it could be. Him mysteriously awakening at birth is just a bad plot device to put him immediately into the actual sinbad story. What is the point of this? No shadow slave characters are being used, the kingdoms and power systems from magi are just renamed to shadow slave ones and nothing else changes. I truly cannot see a reason for reading this so far, maybe it gets much better later on, but wasting 7 chapters on verbatim recaps of sinbad is bad enough for me.

Story is entertaining and very well written with only slight grammar mistakes that don't affect your enjoyment of the it at all. Both Sinbad and Gilgamesh are well portrayed as the story is told from both their POVs, starting with Sinbad then Gilgamesh then back to Sinbad and I'm assuming it will go in that order. The integration of the Magi Kingdom with the world of HxH is so smooth it feels like it was always part of the HxH lore. Read maybe 30 chapters of the story as of writing this, it is easily the best HxH story I have seen. Also, from what I can tell, Sinbad and Gilgamesh have the same personalities and behaviour they do in their animes. If you like HxH, try it. Don't like it, leave it and maybe leave an accurate review on what made you drop it.
