Well, in my opinion, a good action anime story should have high - stakes. Take 'Death Note' for example. Light Yagami's actions with the Death Note could potentially change the entire world, and the cat - and - mouse game between him and L is full of tension. The animation quality also matters a great deal. In 'Demon Slayer', the fluid and detailed fight scenes really bring the action to life.
