I am someone who is both a paraplegic and a "system" (what some of us with d.i.d call ourselves.). I absolutely love the characters of Cain and Elias, and their story. it's not something you see represented in media often, especially the d.i.d. Usually the system in the story is the villain, treating us like we're the problem.... it's refreshing to see an author exploring the possibility of the system being the protagonist. And seeing a character that is/was a paraplegic? well, that's something young me would have devoured in a book. I can't wait to see how far this goes.
