Writing as of chapter 25. It has gotten hard to keep going but I still am because I have been told that things change pretty soon. The writing quality is good but I feel that this fanfic falls very far in a lot of areas. The main character “Krieg” quickly lost almost everything unique about his personality as soon as he started working with the JL. He will complain about everything but still follow practically every order given to him, even when they go directly against his “supposed” beliefs. I say “supposed” because except for complaining mentally, he takes no action to support or act out those beliefs. He has become just another quippy hero that is only different because he is hard to work with and will injure people. But worry not! Because for a long time, the story has barely even been about Krieg. Due to his submissive nature and the author’s penchant for constantly cutting away to show the 1000th bad guy join chaos, Krieg barely gets any screen time. Instead we are forced to watch everything through the eyes of boring characters that we neither know or care about. I am harping on the author a lot, I know. I am just so disappointed. The author writes quite well and has written some great moments and clearly has put effort into this story. But…because of the aforementioned reasons and others that I have neglected to mention, this story has become a frustrating drag to read.
