I don't know how to describe this novel so I will just say what it reminds me of. It reminds me of The Kingkiller Chronicle, with the principal character that is so cynical and still so brilliant but doesn't trust anyone because of his o-so-dark background. Except that he makes friends. I still don't understand how :). The writing is kind of meticulous (not as far fetched and perfectly written as Rothfuss of course) but everything is perfectly explained and actually leaves us with the "Logic" in our minds. So really good job and I hope I will get to see the end of this novel.

It has the poetic writing style, which I personally find similar to the kingkiller series by Patrick. It is Fantasy novel. The best from my personal point of view. Just that he has been delaying it for last 10 years. The author of this book can try to read that book. Although I hate Patrick but it will help you a lot in your writing.
