The protagonist, a 16 year old high school student named Alex, wakes up one day to find that he has been transferred into a handsome new body. Alex is initially shocked and confused by the transformation, but quickly realizes that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to start fresh and make a new name for himself. He enrolls in his old high school under a new identity, calling himself Alex Thompson. At first, Alex struggles to fit in and make friends at his new school. He is self-conscious about his appearance and feels out of place among the popular kids.
