Fallon was supposed to start living at thirty.
Travel the world. Write his book. Maybe even fall in love.
Instead, he drowned. And the icing on the cake? He woke up somewhere else.
A world where humans were rare and were owned.
Before Fallon could even understand where he was, he was captured and sold into a system that shouldn’t have existed anymore. Branded as a soother, stripped of his voice, his name, and his freedom, he was forced into a life where survival meant submission. Where fighting back was worse than death.
Escape wasn’t an option. Hope wasn’t either, at least not until he was bought.
Not by one master, but two.
A sharp-eyed wolf with a guarded heart, and a fierce tiger who had an unyielding warmth he couldn’t quite understand.
They didn’t treat him like property. They didn’t touch him like the others had.
And somehow, that was more terrifying than anything else. Because Fallon didn’t know what they wanted from him. Or why they were being so kind.
As he began to discover pieces of himself, Fallon discovered something even more dangerous than this world, power.
He possessed a rare ability tied to language itself with a role that didn’t just let him survive…but create.
Now caught between a past he hasn’t healed from, a power he didn’t understand, and two men who refused to let him disappear, Fallon was forced to wonder:
Was this second life a curse, or the beginning of something he was never meant to understand?

EXCERPT:
“Have fun?”
Ezekiel froze.
That smooth drawl. That slight upward lilt at the end. There was only one person it could belong to.
His heart bottomed straight into the pit of his stomach, slowly and painfully.
He didn’t even bother turning around.
He’d already been caught. The last thing he needed now was to witness the smug amusement undoubtedly dancing inside those marble-colored eyes.
“That was quite the wake-up call you gave me back there, Zekiel,” Alphonse continued smoothly. “Though perhaps it wasn’t intentional? Did you somehow forget I possess some of the sharpest hearing in my entire clan?”
There it was. That maddeningly glib tone Alphonse reserved exclusively for moments when he caught Ezekiel doing something embarrassing.
Heat flooded the tiger’s face instantly.
He muttered a curse beneath his breath, mentally kicking himself for forgetting such an important detail.
Behind him, Alphonse chuckled softly.
Knowing he had no escape now, Ezekiel finally turned around. And promptly nearly choked on his own breath.
Alphonse was lying comfortably on his side atop the blankets, facing him directly. His black eyes gleamed with unmistakable mischief, though beneath that teasing expression lingered something else entirely.
Something knowing.
Ezekiel didn’t fully understand what it was until his gaze drifted lower. The blanket had slipped aside at some point, revealing the very obvious strain beneath Alphonse’s pants.
Oh.
Ezekiel swallowed hard. “…And here you are giving me grief for what happened in those woods,” he said darkly.
Alphonse lifted a single brow.
“In the woods?” he asked innocently.
“Whatever were you doing out there?”
“Ha.”
The wolf’s lips curved faintly as he shifted position slightly, unintentionally giving Ezekiel an even clearer view.
Ezekiel unconsciously licked his lips before catching himself.
The sight of Alphonse sprawled there half-awake beneath the pale morning light was doing deeply unfair things to his body.
“Unlike a certain someone,” Alphonse drawled lazily, “I possessed enough self-control to keep my composure.”
“Is that so?”
“It very much is.”
Ezekiel shook his head, though amusement still lingered in his expression.
