i like it so far. the writing style is a bit heavy though and there is way too much focus on the mc.

If you are going to translate a novel, at least take the time to highlight everything and unbold the bolded words. It ruins the experience. I've come to associate randomly bolded words with bad translations. I'll give 3 stars because I haven't actually read it and 3 stars is average in my opinion.

I believe the poem is saying 3 things: -The uncle only wishes him well when the tides are in his favor and things are going well. -Not sure for the horse part, but it might be referencing a baby horse barely being able to walk or sating that the uncle is only fit for servant work like how a horse pulls a carriage or a criticism about how the uncle is fully capable and shouldn't be trying to mooch off the mc since its not like the uncle is disabled as the horse has all 4 legs. -The uncle has an ugly personality and has eyes too greedy and is trying to bite off more than they can chew as the eyes are big but the mouth isnt.
