Translation quality is good and it would be a fairly good novel if it wasn't for the fact that the plot has been reused more times than is actually countable. The characters are basically brain-dead and each obstacle is as easy to overcome as the last.

Figured I should probably explain a bit more on my train of thought here I poured a good hour and a half into reading it and if you've been around long enough, you can recognize the plot similarities. I find that the plot is definable like this: MC starts off being weak and friends and/or lovers with a girl who only uses said MC for their own personal gain MC feels betrayed and also has a huge secret which allows him to become strong extremely quickly MC then face-slaps his way to the top ranking of his local area and continues to be underestimated the entire time until he basically conquers everything. It's not that the plot itself is bad and that the characters have no definable qualities, but the plot is simply overused and the characters have the intelligence of laboratory mice who have no forethought or pre-planning, hence the whole "silly me, you are weak and I am strong which is why I will eventually lose and you will surprise everyone with your sudden and inexplicable strength" One novel that has this exact story plot and is slightly older would be "Ancient Godly Monarch" that's available here as well. Legend of Ling Tian also starts this way (but I personally recommend this one because it also plays the story out much better).
