I very disagree with voting system. U ask me why? Because i always vote for books which have higher vote alrdy. Too lazy to looking for info bcs the original boos its goddamn in chinese language, i need to read it first to become man who able to vote corrextly! And there is barely any english community who have enoguh time discussing untranslated chinese books. So u ask me to vote correctly or justly? Nah i cant so i vote randomly! I don't know about translation quality or updating stability yet but I do know this story well because I absolutely am in love with it. It's by the same author who wrote Full Marks Hidden Marriage and if you're looking for another rebirth novel with a female protagonist, this is essentially what you're looking for. While the beginning does make the male protagonist seem rapey and gross, he's actually just very passive. Even until chapters 400-500, he's still very passive but the story does get better and the female protagonist is everything I love. There's lots of retribution and face-smacking moments that makes it very enjoyable. This novel is still currently and actively being translated by another site and I don't know why Qidian took it up but I won't judge the source but rather the content that's being put up and the speed it's coming out at. That's about all I wanted to say to future and current readers lmao

Wow, although I don't quite get the summary and went ahead to try it, it was surprisingly good and addictive, in an blink of an eye I've read more than half of these chapters and I have passes my bedtime long ago... Hopefully I can wake up on time for work later. 😅 Here's my version of summary : The mc was reincarnated back to her past after she witnessed the betrayal of her once thought best friend. The betrayal? In simple terms, guy A likes the mc. The friend like the guy( for his money and social status) so she tried to framed the mc for betraying the guy(paring the mc with another guy) so she can have the guy all to herself. After the guy found out about the mc's liking for another guy, he went mad and keeps hurting the mc. After reincarnation, she used the chance to prevent the "misunderstanding" with the guy and changed her life.

I've had great expectations from this novel as the author is the same one who created FMHM, which is totally my all-time fave.. And Perfect Secret Love DOES NOT DISAPPOINT.. I swear.. It's got different plot, a love story in a different angle..but the face-slappings, cute buns and White Tiger is there.. There will always be this witty and funny character that makes the story line alive, cracking jokes and all like it's their second nature.. In FMHM, that's Jingli, here it's probably Nameless Nie.. 😂 I sooo love Ye Wanwan and Si Yehan.. like, they're not your typical couple.. what leaves me really amazed is that everything seems to be connected, with how the plot is presented like every thing or scene in the story has a greater significance than what meets the eye.. you just can't predict what will come next.. I really admire the author.. she's so amazing, I can't imagine how she managed to write so wonderfully..

Okay, first the Stockholm syndrome tag is a little inaccurate. The main guy that is keeping the MC girl(Ye Wanwan) captive is basically a head, or at least the heir, of a Chinese mafia family. I don't mean gangster, I mean he could affect the entire Chinese economy if he wanted to. So he is super elite/wealthy/powerful and has an entirely different rule book from the average person. He has had family try to murder him, succeed in killing his father, and nearly killed him leaving him with poor health and an insomnia. His insomnia fuels his violent nature and temper (which is from his environment) and that has led to be cruel towards the Ye Wanwan whenever he felt she betrayed him. So if a romance with a violently temperamental mafia lord is too much for you, even if most of his violence towards the MC is in the past, then you won't enjoy this much. But the author's writing style keeps things light instead of sucking you into the violence, though it is present. This is mostly a MC personal journey to victory/romance story. The MC is reincarnated into her own past self who is still in school, several years before she found out the truth about the two people she trusted and cared about the most and then died. The man she wanted to marry and her 'best friend' had never cared for her and both had been using her, lying to, and betraying her since the beginning. This instantly crushes any former romantic feelings she had and she no longer feels the need to escape from the guy she had been rejecting all this time who had essentially imprisoned her. Though she doesn't have any good feelings towards him and wants her *******, she is able to calmly assess that so long as she avoids rejecting him or making him jealous then he will not harm her. Quite the opposite in fact. Over time her terror of him lessens, though she never forgets what he is capable of, and she begins to see that he is out-right devoted to her. And after the betrayal she's been through that is a charming feature to be sure. She starts seeing his cute/awkward side, and understanding him and what has made him violent, it helps that he is handsome and seductive. But she really doesn't plan to stay with him or fall in love with him until much later on. At first she charms him into giving her more ******* after expressing no more interest in the other guy she used to want. Then she just starts to accept him as a dangerous but useful part of her life, slowly becomes attached and not wanting him to die. Accepting his as her husband essentially as long as he gives her some ******* to reach her goals of revenge. And then finally will fall for him and fully accept his love for her, by her better understanding of why he was obsessively protective/ controlling/ violently jealous and getting him to be less so by showing her own strength, improving his health, proving again no interest in other guy, and proving she won't betray him. After that he becomes almost the ideal lover. So I get why it could seem Stockholm like but it really isn't. They just come to trust each other slowly based on merit and she then accepts him. Which doesn't happen until she has a lot more *******.
